ABOUT ME
I am a freelance journalist living in Taiwan, covering two very different areas: democracy and society in Taiwan (The China Project, Al Jazeera, AmCham TOPICS, Nikkei, and more), and Jewish life and history in Asia (JTA, Tablet, Haaretz and more).
I first came to Taiwan in 2021 on a Fulbright grant to document the history and contemporary life of the Taiwan Jewish Community through my Jewish Taiwan Archive project.
After graduating from the University of New Hampshire in Spring 2020 with a dual degree in journalism and international affairs, I covered the impact of COVID-19 and justice issues in New Hampshire as a freelancer with the Granite State News Collaborative. I also co-led an award-winning investigative project about restorative justice in New Hampshire which totaled more than five stories and an engagement event in which we brought together practitioners across Vermont and New Hampshire.

I have reported on COVID-19 with New Hampshire Public Radio in depth: interpreting important data for our listeners, dissecting health equity issues, and breaking news from the beginning of the state's vaccine rollout.

In college, I studied Mandarin Chinese both at UNH and through the state department's Critical Language Scholarship program, studied abroad in China, and held leadership positions in student organizations like Hillel and the Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention Program.
A majority of my free time is spent reading lots of great books and walking cities aimlessly.
